Residence Permits, short or long term for various reasons to stay in Turkey for more than ninety days, education in Turkey (training) to see treatment that is required to get permission for foreigners.<\/p>

The regulations regarding residence permit for foreigners are included in the Foreigners and International Protection Law No. 6458. Residence permit applications for foreigners are made to the consulates in the country where the foreigner is a citizen or legally resident. The application may be made in Turkey will be some exceptional cases also apply to the governor:<\/p>

a) In decisions or requests of judicial or administrative authorities,<\/p>

b) In cases where the foreigner’s departure from Turkey is not possible or reasonable,<\/p>

f) In transition from family residence permit to short-term residence permit,<\/p>

In order to obtain a residence permit or to extend this permit, some documents must be prepared and an application must be made. These documents vary depending on the type of residence permit to be applied for.<\/p>

Residence permit documents are within the scope of valuable paper in accordance with the Law No. 210 on Valuable Papers, and are subject to a document fee, the amount of which is determined by the Ministry of Finance every year. There is no exemption from the document fee for any national citizen.<\/p>
